A marilyn is a hill with a drop of 150 metres on some or all sides. These photos were taken last weekend during a brief interlude in the sodding rain. Lovely place with a strong sense of history to it; it feels as if it's held an important position for people over a long time, which of course it has. Burial site, beacon, mine and site of a castle folly, now it is home only to old mineshafts and phone masts. And us of course, on days when the car boot's cancelled...
